2009 Calendar
SECO/WARWICK seminars are designed to benefit heat treat and maintenance supervisors, manufacturing engineers, metallurgists and manufacturing personnel with new responsibilities for the heat treat operation or researching design considerations for purchasing new, or updating older equipment.
October 26-28 Furnaces and Atmospheres for Today's Technology, Holiday Inn Express, Meadville, PA. In addition to SECO/WARWICK engineering staff, these industry experts will be presenting:
- Dan Herring, The Heat Treat DoctorŽ will be the keynote speaker at the Tuesday evening dinner presenting the state of the industry and new issues and trends in heat treatment.
- Jim Oaks, VP of Business Development for Super Systems (SSI) will present the basic principles of atmosphere carburizing including sensor and control technology
- Eric Kiray, Spang Power Electronics, will discuss the latest technology in power management and control
- Bob Esper, Praxair will present practical information on bulk atmosphere management
- Art Moslow, Kanthal Heating Systems will speak on Electrical Heating Elements

Typical Registration Details for Seminars Held in Meadville
The tuition cost is $350 per person. The furnace seminars have been designed to be non-commercial and educational. You will receive a CD and manual with all of the technical information presented in the seminar. Tuition will include classroom lectures, the seminar manual, continental breakfast, breaks, lunches, (1) dinner meeting and a plant tour. Tuition can be paid by check or credit card due on the first day of the event.
Monday is a travel day. Monday night we will have a registration/hospitality, starting at 6 p.m. Classes will begin on Tuesday morning 8 a.m. and will conclude at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
International customers outside of Central or North America, must be paid in full before a letter of invitation will be supplied.
