Graduated the Faculty of mechanical Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology (1975). The Doctorate (awarded with the Merit Award in 1982), the Habilitation and a Professor title he received at the same University. He represents scientific field of Material Engineering. Winner of Lodz Provincial Governor’s Award, in 2015 awarded with the Prize of Lodz Scientific Society. Currently working at Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology. In 2012 – 2016, an Innovation vice-rector of the Lodz University of Technology. During 2012 – 2019, the president of the Polish Materials Science Society. Scientific interests: surface engineering, nanomaterials. He is an author of 3 monographs, over 250 science and technical articles, and also co-author of 21 patents. The founder and a main shareholder in Hart-Tech Sp. z o. o. hardening plant, currently a member of the Management Board. The company was established in 2010.<\/p>\n
