The difference between the thermal conductivity for the two directions is caused by\u00a0the heat-insulating effect of the gas between the coil layers. Coil winding force also plays a\u00a0crucial role in\u00a0the process. The Vortex Jet Airflow Heating System incorporates an array of nozzle jets oriented to\u00a0generate a\u00a0spiral vortex in\u00a0the furnace atmosphere, be\u00a0it air or\u00a0shielding nitrogen, enabling superior heat transfer without generating hot spots in\u00a0the coil. The high velocity atmosphere circulation allows heat to\u00a0quickly and evenly penetrate the coils for complete annealing.<\/p>\n<p>Infrared image analysis demonstrates the Vortex Jet Airflow Heating System achieves a\u00a0more uniform coil surface temperature for the duration of the heat treat cycle compared to\u00a0conventional coil annealing systems.\u00a0 Heat transfer coefficients up to\u00a0150W\/m<sup>2<\/sup>K\u00a0enable faster load heating and shorter cycle times compared to\u00a0a\u00a0110 W\/m<sup>2<\/sup>K\u00a0heat transfer coefficient of standard straight burner nozzle configuration.<\/p>\n<h2>Bypass Cooler<\/h2>\n<p>SECO\/WARWICK\u2019s proprietary annealing furnace bypass cooler design provides cooling under a\u00a0protective atmosphere. Cooling is very important in\u00a0this application for both metallurgical and handling considerations. The coolers use an internal bypass arrangement which limits the temperature of the atmosphere going through the heat exchangers to\u00a0a\u00a0maximum of 175\u00b0C, preventing oils residues on\u00a0the coil from baking onto the fins of the heat exchanger. The coolers are designed to\u00a0provide in-depth, programmed, or\u00a0auxiliary cooling and are available in\u00a0standard or\u00a0custom sizes. The coolers can be\u00a0rear-or side-mounted depending on\u00a0available floor space. Additionally, users can retrofit bypass coolers to\u00a0compatible existing annealing furnaces. Our newest bypass cooler design even eliminates the need for any foundation pit.<\/p>\n<h2>SeCoil<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>process control and simulation software<\/h2>\n<p>SeCoil is our process simulation and control software created to\u00a0predict heat treatment process outcomes and to\u00a0control furnaces through subsequent heat treat processes.<\/p>\n<p>The mathematical model considers all the numerous parameter variables, such as\u00a0temperature and outlet velocity of the heating medium, type of alloy, sheet thickness, and roll dimensions, and uses the data to\u00a0predict the temperature at\u00a0any point inside the coil. With the SeCoil simulator you can even simulate the heating curve of any point of the coil, serving as\u00a0a\u00a0virtual thermocouple. The SeCoil simulator provides knowledge about the thermal state of the coil at\u00a0any time during the process. It may, therefore, be\u00a0used in\u00a0many ways, including for forecasting heating curves for different types of coil and process conditions (furnace temperature, mixer efficiency) and for continuous control of the annealing process without the need to\u00a0use batch thermocouples (controller). The meta-model was created using artificial intelligence methods (behavioral modeling), and can be\u00a0an alternative or\u00a0a\u00a0supplement to\u00a0a\u00a0simulator based on\u00a0phenomenological modeling. In\u00a0contrast to\u00a0the phenomenological model, the behavioral model applies only to\u00a0the tested system and within the assumed limits of operating conditions. However, its accuracy for the analyzed range of data may be\u00a0greater than in\u00a0the case of the phenomenological model.<\/p>\n<p>From a\u00a0metallurgical point of view, the critical process parameters are the final batch processing temperature and the soaking time, which define the process of recrystallization annealing and must be\u00a0met precisely.\u00a0 As\u00a0such, the SeCoil automatic regulation and control system has two main tasks: to\u00a0maintain, for the longest time possible, an adequate air-to-work (head) temperature to\u00a0minimize heating time and after reaching the load temperature setpoint, to\u00a0reduce the head temperature to\u00a0avoid any overshot of the load setpoint.<\/p>\n<p>From an economic point of view, the most important parameter is the total process time, which directly affects energy consumption.\u00a0 Due to\u00a0SECO\/WARWICK\u2019s unique system, shorter process time can be\u00a0achieved without the risk of overheating the load.\u00a0 After the operator enters process and coil parameters the system can then simulate the process and the collected data can ultimately be\u00a0used to\u00a0fine-tune the recipe and optimize the process time before processing begins.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Advantages&#8221;
