The <strong>Controlled Atmosphere Brazing (CAB)<\/strong> process heats a\u00a0product to\u00a0brazing temperatures while maintaining uniform temperatures within the product in\u00a0an oxygen-free <strong>nitrogen atmosphere<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>EV\/CAB \u00a0furnace designs for e-mobility<\/h3>\n<p>EV\/CAB is the CAB solution for e-mobility &#8211; a&nbsp;system designed to&nbsp;braze large-size car battery coolers for the Electric Vehicle industry. The following <strong>furnace designs<\/strong> are available to\u00a0produce a\u00a0variety of parts in\u00a0larger volume production runs:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_tabs module_class=&#8221;red-tabs eco-tab3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; custom_css_main_element=&#8221;margin-top: 2rem;||margin-bottom: 2rem;&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Radiation CAB Furnace&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A&nbsp;radiation braze <strong>CAB furnace<\/strong> is ideal for brazing similar-size products in&nbsp;a&nbsp;continuous flow environment.\u00a0 This furnace uses a&nbsp;heated muffle to&nbsp;braze the product with high overall efficiency. Our design includes proportionally controlled electric heating or&nbsp;natural-gas-fired combustion. Temperatures are controlled uniformly throughout the length of the furnace by&nbsp;several independently heated zones. These units have a&nbsp;low investment cost and are very efficient with <strong>nitrogen atmosphere consumption<\/strong> and require less maintenance compared to&nbsp;the other CAB methods.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Convection\/ Radiation CAB Furnace&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Combination convection preheating and radiation brazing furnace systems improve the furnace\u2019s flexibility to&nbsp;run product of different mass and dimension in&nbsp;the same cycle. This type of system is more forgiving when running production intermittently. The initial heat zone uses both convection and radiation heat for uniform preheating. Then in&nbsp;the radiation brazing section the product is brought up to&nbsp;and held at&nbsp;a&nbsp;final uniform temperature to&nbsp;allow the clad materials to&nbsp;melt and form a&nbsp;joint. These units have a&nbsp;medium investment cost and they provide faster processing in&nbsp;a&nbsp;smaller footprint.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Full convection CAB Furnace&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A&nbsp;pure convection heat-controlled atmosphere furnace provides processing of the widest variety of products in&nbsp;the shortest cycle time.\u00a0 Convection heat transfer is used to&nbsp;bring the entire part to&nbsp;brazing temperature and maintain temperature uniformity at&nbsp;\u00b1 3 degrees C&nbsp;using a&nbsp;recirculated nitrogen atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A&nbsp;convection system is more compact than other types of units with similar production volume. These furnace systems are popular in&nbsp;the automotive industry due to&nbsp;their ability to&nbsp;intermix various size products all in&nbsp;a&nbsp;compact footprint. In&nbsp;the heavy-duty and off-road auto industries it is the most efficient for brazing large heat exchangers.
