Distortion is most often corrected by\u00a0 the costly process of post-heat treat machining. The goal of every high-volume gear heat treating process is the elimination or\u00a0reduction of distortion.<\/p>\n<p>To&nbsp;address the major causes of deformation during heat treatment and create a\u00a0method for controlling, correcting and eliminating distortion, SECO\/WARWICK has developed a\u00a0new concept &#8211; the <strong>UniCase Master,\u00a0a single-piece flow case hardening system<\/strong>. \u00a0This system adjusts to\u00a0the size and shape of the particular gear in\u00a0order to\u00a0minimize distortion and ensures ideal repeatability of results gear after gear.
