Weifang Hengtong Radiator, specializing in the production of a wide range of heat exchangers, purchased a Universal Semi-Continuous Aluminum Brazing Furnace in a Controlled Atmosphere (CAB) from SECO/WARWICK. The furnace was designed to enhance the efficiency and quality of plate and bar heat exchanger production. The line ordered from SECO/WARWICK will increase the partner's production capabilities.
The purchased furnace was specifically designed for the production of plate & bar heat exchangers. The semi-continuous CAB system is based on a multi-stage cycle division. The line includes: a drying furnace, an entry washing chamber, a convection preheating and brazing chamber, an intermediate air seal cooling chamber, and a final direct cooling chamber. The semi-continuous mode ensures that even large-sized components are evenly heated during the proper process time. The order also includes a control system and the installation and commissioning of the line.
This is the first order for a CAB Brazing solution from Weifang Hengtong Radiator. The Partner previously had four other types of furnaces for vacuum brazing of heat exchangers.
«In the past, the Partner used vacuum brazing (VAB). The semi-continuous Universal CAB System ensures shorter cycle time, lower investment costs, and higher process efficiency of each batch. These are the main advantages of the CAB system compared to vacuum brazing furnaces. This is another client in the Chinese market in the plate & bar heat exchanger industry who has chosen our solution,» says Piotr Skarbiński, Vice President of the Aluminum and CAB Products Segment at SECO/WARWICK Group.
The furnaceis characterized by high flexibility, allowing the brazing of exchangers of various masses and dimensions in subsequent cycles while maintaining optimal process parameters.
Brazing aluminum in a protective atmosphere
The selected solution surpasses the optional vacuum brazing process in single-chamber furnaces due to the advanced semi-continuous system. Thanks to the semi-continuous operation, the brazing process becomes more efficient, allowing for increased production while maintaining stable quality.
Shorter batch times, lower investment costs, and higher process efficiency of each batch are the three main advantages of CAB technology.
«We supply solutions to many companies in Asia, and a large part of the success securing thesecontracts has been the result of recommendations we receive from clients. Production in China allows us for quick deliveries and reduced logistical costs. Thanks to local production, we are also independent of geopolitical turmoil and global tariff policies. The Chinese market is very important for the SECO/WARWICK Group, and this year, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our company in this country. During this period, we have delivered over 200 solutions that change the face of metal heat treatment,» adds P. Skarbiński.
CAB solutions mean increased efficiency
Brazing aluminum in a protective atmosphere (CAB) is a leading technology among various heat processing options forthe industrial production of heat exchangers. The semi-continuous system allows for variable heating and cooling rates depending on the cycle and needs. Convection heating ensures the even heating of components including those with above-average dimensions.
Thanks to this investment, Weifang Hengtong Radiator Co. will strengthen its position in the industry while improving production efficiency.
«We consistently implement our development strategy. The modern brazing furnace delivered by SECO/WARWICK is a key element of this strategy, allowing for further growth and strengthening of the market position. The choice of SECO/WARWICK was determined by the fact that the Group is a global and renowned player guaranteeing professional service,» said Weifang Hengtong Radiator Co. Representative.
