SECO/LABTECH – calibration laboratory

Professional calibration of equipment used in thermal processing systems and beyond.

SECO/LABTECH is a new business segment being developed within SECO/WARWICK. It was created to support Group companies, their customers, and other industries in Poland and worldwide. Its mission is to build strong expertise in temperature calibration and provide professional technical backing for processes where measurement accuracy and traceability are critical.

PCA ilac-MRASECO/LABTECH holds PCA accreditation AP233 for calibrating thermoelectric sensors, temperature indicators and data loggers. The laboratory is accredited in ISO/IEC 17025,– an important foundation for its work and confirmation of its technical competence and service quality. As a result, customers receive support in line with recognized quality and metrology standards.

SECO/LABTECH

The laboratory’s operations are primarily driven by customer needs for SECO/WARWICK solutions and technologies. At the same time, SECO/LABTECH is open to cooperation with other industrial sectors – wherever measurement traceability, reliable results and a high standard of technical service matter.

The laboratory’s development is focused on practical industrial applications – especially where temperature control is a key quality driver in the process. Its CMC capabilities help customers meet quality requirements such as CQI-9 and AMS2750, which is particularly important in demanding industrial sectors.

After replacing or repairing a temperature sensor, do you need to recalibrate it?

After a temperature sensor is replaced or repaired, recalibration is recommended because any intervention in the sensing element can affect measurement accuracy.
In industrial processes, even a small change in a sensor’s characteristics can lead to incorrect temperature assessment—and, as a result, process nonconformance, reduced product quality, or unplanned downtime.
SECO/LABTECH delivers fast, professional temperature-sensor calibration, helping plants respond quickly and minimize losses when time matters.

How does temperature-sensor calibration impact the quality and standards of compliance?

Temperature-sensor calibration directly affects process quality and compliance with technical and quality requirements.
In heat treatment, even minor temperature deviations can degrade product quality, lead to customer nonconformance, or violate industry standards.

Regular calibration helps reduce the risk of incorrect temperature assessment, maintain process stability, and document control over measurement equipment.
Calibration performed by SECO/LABTECH increases confidence in temperature measurement and supports running the process in line with both technical assumptions and quality expectations.

When—and why—should you use an accredited calibration laboratory?

Using a calibration laboratory is worthwhile whenever measurement accuracy and process stability are critical.
This applies both to routine control of measuring equipment and to situations after replacement or repair, or when measurement deviations are suspected.

Accurate measurement isn’t just about meeting standards and quality procedures—it’s about better control of your process, lower risk of errors, and higher production safety.
Calibration services help detect issues earlier and keep the process within target parameters.

Can a temperature sensor still work correctly without current calibration?

Yes, a temperature sensor may continue to operate—but without current calibration, there’s no certainty that its readings remain accurate across the required range.

Over time—depending on operating conditions and thermal load—a sensor’s parameters can drift, affecting measurement accuracy.
In industrial processes, a lack of confirmed accuracy increases the risk of incorrect temperature assessment and, therefore, a higher risk of process nonconformance,

reduced product quality, or audit issues. Regular calibration helps assess sensor condition and maintain proper control over measurement equipment.
SECO/LABTECH supports customers in verifying temperature-sensor performance, helping keep processes stable and measurements dependable.

What are the benefits of regular temperature-sensor calibration?

Regular temperature-sensor calibration helps maintain measurement reliability and improves control over your process.

It enables earlier detection of reading drift before it impacts product quality, process nonconformance, or production losses.
Systematic oversight supports process stability, helps meet quality requirements, and confirms the proper condition of measurement equipment.

This is a practical way to reduce risk and improve operational safety.
Calibration performed by SECO/LABTECH is a key element in maintaining process quality and confidence in temperature measurement.

Why choose calibration services from a heat treatment equipment manufacturer with its own lab?

Working with a heat treatment equipment manufacturer that operates its own calibration laboratory provides a meaningful, practical, and technical advantage.

Such a company understands not only temperature measurement itself, but also its role in the overall technology, equipment performance, and quality requirements for industrial installations.
That means calibration isn’t treated as a one-off measurement service, but as part of broader process support.

Combining heat-treatment equipment expertise with laboratory competence makes it easier to understand sensor operating conditions, identify potential issues more quickly, and support customers in maintaining process stability.
With SECO/LABTECH, you benefit from a heat-treatment equipment manufacturer’s know-how plus the resources of a calibration laboratory—resulting in higher confidence in measurement and services better aligned with real industrial conditions.

What sets a calibration lab apart when it operates within a heat treatment equipment manufacturer?

A calibration laboratory operating within a heat treatment equipment manufacturer stands out for its practical understanding of industrial processes

where temperature sensors are used. That means measurement equipment is evaluated not only from a metrology standpoint, but also with the sensor’s role in a specific process in mind.
This approach helps assess the real impact of measurement deviations, supports better diagnostics, and enables services to be tailored to the plant’s needs.

For customers, this means more comprehensive support—from knowledge of heat-treatment equipment and the process to calibration performed by an in-house laboratory.
SECO/LABTECH combines a heat treatment equipment manufacturer’s experience with calibration-lab competence, enabling effective support for quality, compliance, and process stability.

Why use an accredited calibration laboratory?

Using an accredited calibration laboratory provides greater confidence in result reliability and confirms that calibration is performed in line with defined technical and quality requirements. For industrial plants, this is especially important wherever temperature-measurement accuracy affects

process quality, compliance with customer requirements, and production stability.
An accredited lab operates according to defined methods, staff competence, and rules that ensure measurement traceability.

As a result, customers receive not only a calibration result but also greater assurance that the evaluation was performed in a structured, repeatable and reliable way.
With SECO/LABTECH, an additional advantage is combining an accredited laboratory’s competence with a heat treatment equipment manufacturer’s experience, helping users better understand sensor operating conditions and the needs of industrial processes.
