ENERGY GUARD

ENERGY GUARDSoftware for optimizing energy consumption.

Energy Guard is advanced software designed to optimize energy consumption in metal processing enterprises.

/THE GOAL OF ENERGY GUARD

Its main goal is to predict energy demand based on planned production processes, allowing for more efficient energy management in line with the company’s contracted power limits.

/FUNCTIONS OF ENERGY GUARD

The basic function of the application is the efficient scheduling of planned processes across various devices on the production line to optimize efficiency.

One of the most valuable features of the software is its ability to reduce energy consumption costs for the company. By calculating solutions every minute, based on the real-time status of the production line, the software continuously adjusts its operations. This real-time adjustment allows the system to dynamically respond to changing conditions on the line, ensuring continuous optimization of the production process.

The overall goal of the software is to minimize energy costs by planning processes in accordance with the specific energy consumption profile of each recipe. Each recipe has its own distinct energy consumption profile, which is updated after each process to ensure that energy consumption remains as efficient as possible.

Energy consumption optimization is crucial not only in terms of costs but also in the context of sustainable development and operational efficiency.

/PROBLEMS SOLVED:

  • Contracted power exceedance: Energy Guard effectively prevents situations where the company exceeds the contracted power, which could result in high charges for excessive energy consumption.
  • Lack of transparency in energy consumption: The software provides full visibility into predicted energy consumption, making it easier for companies to make informed resource allocation decisions.
  • Low energy efficiency: By optimizing production plans, the company can significantly improve energy efficiency, reducing costs and negative environmental impact.

Two operating modes:

Eco (environmental) and Fast (quick), each meeting different needs in terms of balancing energy efficiency and productivity.

/ECO Mode

In Eco mode, the optimization algorithm takes into account the energy consumption of each segment within the planned processes for each batch on each device. The algorithm carefully considers energy demand at all stages of the production process, ensuring that energy consumption remains within predefined limits over a specified period. This mode prioritizes energy savings, aiming to find the best solution that optimizes energy consumption without exceeding established energy limits over an extended period. It is ideal in scenarios where cost reduction and environmental impact are prioritized.

/FAST Mode

In Fast mode, Energy Guard focuses on maximizing overall production line efficiency. The scheduling algorithm works to achieve the highest possible device efficiency and minimize the time each batch spends on the production line. In this mode, energy consumption limits are not considered in the scheduling process. Instead, the algorithm focuses on ensuring that the production process is as fast and efficient as possible, even if this means temporarily exceeding energy consumption limits. This mode is best suited for scenarios where maximizing production speed and throughput is more important than energy efficiency.

korzyści

In summary, Energy Guard offers two valuable modes that allow companies to adjust production schedules to specific needs — whether prioritizing energy efficiency and cost savings in Eco mode or maximizing productivity and shortening cycle times in Fast mode. Both modes provide a flexible, data-driven approach to improving production operations, with the added benefit of real-time adjustments and continuous optimization.
