Another SECO/WARWICK industrial furnace will join the equipment in one of the most modern heat treatment plants in South America. The horizontal retort furnace will be used for high-temperature tempering and nitriding processes using ZeroFlow technology. The device will be integrated with the existing superior production control system in the hardening plant, which will streamline production cycles and improve internal logistics for the Partner.
This is the sixth SECO/WARWICK device for the Isoflama heat treatment plant, which has been loyal to SECO/WARWICK technology for years.
“Isoflama was the first client to trust us in the Brazilian market. Today, Brazil is a key market for SECO/WARWICK in South America, and Isoflama is a Partner. This is the result of cooperation based on trust and results. We will deliver a customized device to this modern heat treatment plant. The furnace has increased capacity and will be integrated with the customer’s entire control system. It is an ideal solution for large matrices used in powerful factories and giga presses,” says Maciej Korecki, Vice President of the Vacuum Segment at SECO/WARWICK Group.
Customization of Standards – The Power of Adjustment
Although the device ordered is a standard solution in the SECO/WARWICK portfolio, the version for Isoflama has been customized to meet the client’s production specifics. It has been designed with increased capacity, a reinforced retort, and a working area of 900 x 900 x 1200 mm (35″x35″x47″), enabling the heat treatment of large and heavy elements. Thanks to this flexibility, the client chose SECO/WARWICK as the device supplier.
A New Level of Nitriding and Tempering
ZeroFlow nitriding technology enables precise and fully controlled nitriding processes. It is complemented by the ability to conduct high-temperature tempering with vacuum out gassing, which is crucial for Isoflama, serving a wide production spectrum.
“This device is perfect for intensive, commercial heat treatment of large matrices. It is worth noting that this client is returning to our technology once again. This confirms that our devices are not only durable but also genuinely improve production. The new furnace will be the first furnace in Isoflama’s facilities operating with ZeroFlow nitriding technology, which will allow them to conduct precise and fully controlled nitriding processes,” explains Łukasz Chwiałkowski, Sales Manager at SECO/WARWICK.
Reliability and Precision in One
The retort furnace for tempering and nitriding is equipped with a round retort with a homogeneous temperature distribution of ±3°C; convective heating for better energy efficiency and TURBO cooling system. The advantage of this product is its large capacity and working area with the ability to adjust to oversized loads by utilizing the advantages of a round heating chamber.
“Not long ago, commenting on the purchase of the fifth furnace under the SECO/WARWICK Group brand, I said I didn’t think we would stop there. And here we are today. The new SECO/WARWICK furnace will become an important link in our dynamically developing hardening plant, serving, the automotive, aerospace, and machinery industries in Brazil. It is extremely important that it will be adapted to our vacuum infrastructure and fully integrated. The sixth device from the same supplier is, in my opinion, a strong recommendation. We highly value our cooperation with SECO/WARWICK,” commented Thomas H. Heiliger from Isoflama Industria Comercio Equipamentos LTDA.
Isoflama has a substantial equipment park, making the company one of the most efficient and versatile hardening plants in Brazil. The company can boast a German heat treatment process management system and a quality management system certified by the ISO standard.
