Vector for aviation

This partner ordered a horizontal Vector vacuum furnace with a graphite chamber and gas cooling system. The device dimensions are 900x600x900 mm, and the maximum load capacity is 800 kg. The furnace will be used to produce precision parts used in aviation. The client is a new player in the aviation sector with very ambitious production plans.

“There is enormous potential for the aviation industry in the Chinese market. SECO/WARWICK China supplies vacuum furnaces to several leading companies in this field. Chinese companies are working on many innovative projects in the field of aviation, and are striving to increase their technological independence and strengthen their market position. Having an excellent production line in this country, we can quickly and cost-effectively deliver heat treatment equipment for these applications,” explains Liu Yedong, Managing Director of SECO/WARWICK China.

A vacuum furnace that solves problems

SECO/WARWICK’s flagship product – Vector, is a single-chamber horizontal vacuum furnace that offers many possibilities. Hundreds of SECO/WARWICK vacuum furnaces in operation around the world confirm the excellent performance and versatility of this device. Single-chamber Vector vacuum heat treatment furnaces are the ideal solution for manufacturers of precision casting parts. They are available with a graphite heating chamber and can be used for most standard applications including hardening, tempering, annealing, solution heat treatment, brazing, and sintering.

“The partner who ordered the Vector vacuum furnace is just starting their operation. A well-thought-out production process and equipping the machinery park with the best solution on the market will guarantee high uniformity, quality, and repeatability of production. In the case of aviation, these values are of significant importance. The quality of the parts produced can determine the safety of many people, so precision is our foundation and the highest value,” summarized Maciej Korecki, Vice President of the Vacuum Furnaces Segment at the SECO/WARWICK Group.

China invests in aviation

The Chinese aviation industry is one of the largest in the world. In China, 259 airports are currently approved for civil-commercial use. In addition, there are 106 airports in the Middle Kingdom serving general aviation traffic.

Over the years, the Chinese aviation industry has strived to catch up with the world’s leading producers of technologically advanced aircraft engines. In the past decade, particular attention has been devoted to the development of turbofan engines, which are a key component in powering passenger aircraft, military planes, and other flying machines. The Chinese aviation sector is intensifying its efforts toward the independent development and production of aircraft components. Recent years have seen a significant increase in investment in research and development in this area, as well as focused efforts to acquire and assimilate new technologies.
