Aluminum Heat Treat Furnace Systems
Custom engineered aluminum heat treat furnace systems for coil, foil, rod, wire, billet, slab and ingot heating used for annealing, homogenizing, preheat and reheat to roll applications. Furnace configurations include car, batch tray, traveling and pusher style furnaces, fully equipped with material handling and advanced control systems. SECO/WARWICK continues to develop innovative designs for improving furnace efficiency through airflow modifications, improved cooling rates and rapid heating systems. We provide aluminum furnaces worldwide for primary aluminum production, aluminum sheet, plate and foil, aluminum extruded products and aluminum rolling and drawing mills.

Information, Articles, Case Studies |
|
Aluminum |
Aluminum Annealing Furnaces are provided with capacities ranging from single coil modular furnaces to multizone furnaces. We offer both Mass Flow and Vortex Jet Heating designs for fast, efficient coil processing |
Aluminum Homogenizing |
Aluminum Homogenizing Furnaces are provided for most process applications. Equipment designs include batch types, traveling styles and continuous homogenizing. |
Aluminum Ingot |
Ingot,Billet & Slab Preheating, Homogenizing and Reheat to Roll Furnaces are offered including pusher, soaking pit and car bottom designs. |
Vortex Jet Heating
|
SECO/WARWICK has secured the patent rights for the vortex flow jet heating system for improved performance in aluminum process furnaces.Trials have shown that the new system maintains a more uniform coil surface temperature during the heat-up phase. This result enables a shorter annealing cycle without local overheating, preventing localized cracking of milling oil, and produces more uniform material properties. Click Here |
Improved Methods of Aluminum Log Cooling |
Log cooling after homogenization has begun to play a more important role than ever before. Production demands are requiring both faster and more uniform cooling of the logs. SECO/WARWICK has developed an improved method to increase both the cooling rate and temperature uniformity throughout the entire load. Click here |
Adjustable Ratio Control for Aluminum Furnaces |
SECO/WARWICK has been awarded a patent for Adjustable Ratio Control System & Method used in the design of Aluminum Process Heat Treating Equipment. Click here to learn how Adjustable Ratio Control can improve furnace performance while processing uneven loads. |
Traveling Aluminum Log or Billet Homogenizer |
This case study describes equipment installed in a plant located in the Northeastern United States of a major worldwide aluminum billet producer. SECO/WARWICK moved and upgraded a traveling log homogenizer to consolidate assets, save floor space and improve performance Click here |
| Case Study | Jupiter Aluminum Corporation, is a privately held producer of aluminum coil, founded in 1992, serving customers in building products, metals service centers, transportation and license plate coil. Jupiter Aluminum contracted SECO/WARWICK to rebuild two atmosphere coil annealing furnaces located in their Hammond, Indiana facilityClick here |
